At his 2 year birthday party, it was full with 6 kids and there was still plenty of room (despite a few kids being 4 years old). He has also enjoyed it thoroughly as a play surface for coloring, his trains, cars, everything. He'll have a sibling in a few months and I expect many more years of use from this table.My husband assembled it easily (there aren't many pieces). He loved it instantly. And bowls and glasses do slide easily over the surface (for the occasional oops) - though you'll have that with all plastic table tops.It is larger size (which I like), but is just narrow enough to barely squeeze out the backdoor (normal door width) for the few times we've wanted to use it outside without having to take it apart.A great product. My husband and I frequently sit with him at the table, as the 4 corners are well supported for even our weight.
The only drawbacks are the grooved surface is slightly more difficult to wipe clean than if it was smooth. We purchased this picnic table when my son was about 18 months old and keep it indoors. He eats the majority of his snacks (and non family meals) at his table. When we have friends over to play games, the kids will often play a game at their table.
I love the neutral colors and durability. Love the picnic table. I bought the exact one for me niece too.
It's the first place they go to when they run outside. So far we've eaten lunch twice on it. I just use it at the bottom of the umbrella so the point doesn't ruin my decking of cool create.We also have the water and sand table that goes with it, and it too has been great.(FYI~ the umbrella STILL doesn't tilt though). This was so easy to put together. I must admit, in the AZ sun it gets hot, but my two little girls LOVE it and are exctied finally having a place to sit near the pool. It also has a stopper for the top for when you don't want to use your umbrella.
I would buy it again if necessary. I am very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone with small children or grandchildren. old granddaughter to use on my patio outside this spring and summer. It is very durable, and I love it. They also had extra screws, which is highly unusual.
Most of the time, they are short. However, since it is too cold to take outside, we have been playing inside on it inside since Christmas, which is the reason I purchased it for. I weigh approximately 130-135 lbs. It was so easy to put together. We play with Play-Doh, eat snacks on, and just have a good time on it. I purchased this wonderful table and umbrella for my almost 3-yr.
I sit on one side, and she sits on the other. My daughter put it together in less than 30 minutes.
